Week 102

Well not too much has happened this week. Me and my comp are going to baptize today. We taught Luca and his mom again, and they said that they are going to go this Sunday for sure. So that means we will be able to get Luca baptized here pretty soon. And the Grandma of Alan said she talked to his dad, so he will be able to get baptized soon too. And the mom of Ari said she would be ok if her daughter got baptized. Also the documents of Joana get here this week so she should get married this next transfer and baptized! Woohoo! There are four baptisms that we will be able to help with, and they are for sure going to happen!

We also went to Cipoletti to finish the conference for this transfer, and I was able to see Elder Mendoza and Elder Esplin. And that’s about it for this week.

Week 101

Well we had Stake Conference this week, and Alan and his grandma came to church. Alan for sure will be baptized, but we don’t know when. This week we are going to try and meet his dad so we can talk to him too, and get his son baptized.

We also finished almost all of the conferencias with President. Now we just have to do Cipolletti. I also saw Juancho Saturday. He said that a lot of things have happened to him, and he said he was going to come this Sunday.

It’s been a pretty busy week, but we have a good amount of success. We are going to have a few baptisms here in a bit. Well that’s basically it. Sorry I don’t have fotos. I don’t know if I lost my camera or not, but if I find it I’ll send pics.

[Cinco Saltos Zone Conference]

Week 100

Well this week was kind of crazy. We are helping a lot of people progress. We had 3 people asist [attend] church this week, and Graciela came back to visit (the deaf lady that got baptized).

We also found a dude that is super receptive and loved his first visit in church. He also said he was going to read the Book of Mormon this next week, and the way he said it, it sounded like he was going to try and read all of it before the next Sunday.

We also did some conferences with President in Plottier and Roca. It was really fun. When President was doing interviews, me and my comp were giving advice and animating [motivating] the zones. It was super great. We gave them a lot of ideas of things that they could do in lessons and different ways they could contact people. The mission is pretty young right now, so we are trying to help them get their teaching skills down. That’s probably one of the things I like most about being an assistant is capacitating [training] other missionaries. The Mission is Great!

Week 99

Well not too much happened this week. We have been teaching a lot of people, but we haven’t found anyone that wants to progress super fast. But we have like 2 people that will for sure get baptized, so we are super animated for them.

We had a lady come to church this last week, but she didn’t really like it. Pucha, but what can you do? Not everyone is open to new things. Also Joana came to church too, so she is making a habit for when she gets married she can keep going to church.

Things are going great here. I love the mission, and I love the people here in Argentina. Presidente just got back from doing conferences, and I guess he will have us help with the conferences here close by. But things are going great here.

Week 98

Well not a lot has happened this week. We had the leader conference, and that turned out great. We had a lot of things that we wanted to share with everyone, but we didn’t have time to cover everything. We even had the conference a full day.

Also we have been finding a lot of people because we didn’t go with Presidente to go do the conferencias in the south so we had a lot more time to focus on our area. We have found like 3 people that will get baptized, but they are all going to take a bit of time.

Also I only have one pic for today, and I’ll explain it to you all one of these days.

Week 97

Well this week seemed like a really long week, but we did have a family come to church that wants to get baptized. They already love the church, but they just need to get married. The good news is that they want to. Bad news is that they have to go back to Paraguay to do the tramites [formalities].

Also the new missionaries all got here, so it was pretty crazy here. This next week we have a conference that we are planning on doing. It’s going to be great!

Week 96

Well this week we went to Bariloche to help out over there. I did intercambios with Elder Pineda de México and Elder Vera de Chile. We put a baptismal date with Cristian (there's a foto). There was a good amount of snow there too, so that was kind of cool. Elder Pineda is going home this week and Elder Vera is just starting the mission. Elder Vera will be a great missionary.

We also did some visits in our area. I showed my card for my Eagle Scout award to a guy here that is crazy for scouts, and he loved it. I took a pic of it, and I think he wants to do something for his scouting program here that’s similar now.

Well that’s about it. The work is going slow in our area. Hopefully we can get some time to get everything going here in Limay so we can baptize some more people.
